Often mistaken for cacti, these stunning African succulents are undisputed queens of interior design, loved for their geometric ribbed stems and remarkable ease of care. They grow vigorously indoors if placed in very bright spots and require very little water, making them perfect for adding an exotic, modern touch. With its fleshy, upright stems divided into geometric ridges dotted with short small spines, this plant brings the majesty of African nature into your home.
Light: prefers bright, indirect light – avoid direct sun during the hottest hours. South- or east-facing windows are ideal.
Watering: water only when the substrate is completely dry. In winter, reduce to a minimum (once a month or even less).
Soil type: use a well-draining succulent mix (universal potting soil + coarse sand + perlite in equal parts).
Fertilizing: apply a diluted cactus fertilizer every 15–20 days from April through September.
Flowers: produces small yellowish-green cyathia, not showy but very unique, in late spring.
