Euphorbia triangularis f. crestata Ø 14

Euphorbia triangularis f. crestata Ø14, supplied in an elegant terracotta pot from our Manera Line.

Instead of growing tall with the typical 3-angled stems of the standard species, this plant expands sideways, folding back on itself and forming wavy crested growth that resembles abstract geometric sculptures. The bright green epidermis contrasts beautifully with the reddish hues of the tiny spines along the upper edges of the crests.

Light: loves bright light, even direct sun, but avoid the harshest midday rays in summer.

Watering: moderate in spring/summer; let the soil dry out between waterings. In winter, water very sparingly. Dislikes waterlogging.

Soil: very well-draining, ideally a cactus/succulent mix with sand and pumice.

Fertilizing: once a month in spring/summer with a low-nitrogen fertilizer formulated for succulents.

Flowering: rarely blooms in cultivation; produces small, inconspicuous yellowish cyathia typical of Euphorbia.

Fun fact: despite its appearance, it is not a cactus but a spurge. The white latex that oozes from cuts is toxic and irritating.
