Cactusmania

Fockea edulis Ø 25 cm

Fockea edulis, with its sculptural trunk, produces long thin and flexible branches that you can elegantly let hang down or train to climb small supports. It is a long-lived plant and very easy to cultivate, perfectly adaptable to indoor life. The caudex acts as a water reservoir, making it extremely drought-resistant. It requires minimal care, loves bright light, and is sensitive to waterlogging. Perfect for collectors of rare and caudiciform plants.

Cultivation notes:

Exposure: Place in a bright location with plenty of indirect sunlight; it tolerates some direct sun but avoid harsh midday rays.

Watering: Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Reduce watering significantly during the winter rest period.

Soil: Use a well-draining, sandy or gritty cactus mix to prevent root rot.

Fertilization: Feed monthly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a diluted balanced fertilizer formulated for succulents.
