Plumeria filifolia Ø 17 cm

A rare gem among plumerias.

Unlike common varieties, this rarity stands out for its incredibly narrow and long leaves, which form a feathery, light canopy resembling a miniature palm. This rare species enchants with its fine foliage, dancing at the slightest breeze, and its pure white flowers with a golden heart, delicately scented.

Exposure: enjoys bright light, preferably a few hours of direct sun daily, but can also tolerate full sun. Indoors, place it near a very sunny window.

Soil: needs a well-draining mix, ideal for succulents or cacti, with added pumice or perlite to prevent waterlogging.

Watering: water only when the soil is completely dry. In summer, every 5–7 days; in winter, reduce drastically (even once a month). It absolutely fears water stagnation, which causes root rot.

Fertilizing: during spring and summer, apply a flowering-plant fertilizer rich in phosphorus and potassium every 2 weeks. Stop in autumn and winter.

Flowers: appear in summer, clustered in terminal cymes. Each flower lasts a few days, but blooming continues for several weeks.

Fun fact: it is one of the hardest plumerias to find in cultivation. Its thread-like leaves make it unique within the genus, and in the wild, it grows on poor, rocky soils, showing remarkable resilience.

It requires little care, loves light, and hates waterlogging. Perfect for collectors and lovers of botanical rarities.
