Senecio anteuphorbium f. crestata Ø 14
Senecio anteuphorbium f. crestata Ø 14, supplied in an elegant terracotta pot from our Manera Line.
The Senecio anteuphorbium f. crestata is a botanical rarity born from a natural genetic mutation that transforms the classic cylindrical stems into wide, wavy, compact fans. Spineless and modern in design, it is perfect for collectors and for completing indoor environments.
At the tips of the crests, small elongated oval leaves appear, which the plant tends to lose during dormancy periods. In winter, the plant surprises with a flowering of small tufts with white petals and yellow pistils.
Cultivation notes:
- Exposure: plenty of light, even direct sun, but avoid too hot midday sun in summer.
- Watering: let the soil dry out completely between waterings; reduce to a minimum in winter.
- Soil type: very well-draining, specific for cacti and succulents (e.g., sand, pumice, lapilli).
- Fertilization: once a month in spring/summer with a low-nitrogen succulent fertilizer.
- Flowering: yes, in winter it produces small tufts with white petals and yellow pistils.
- Curiosity: highly sought-after crested form; fears waterlogging; great for bright interiors.
