Myrtillocactus geometrizans ‘Stacker’ is an extraordinary horticultural selection, often called “Stacking Cactus” for its unique way of growing that defies the normal branching of columnar cacti. It produces short segments that look literally stacked one on top of another, creating sculptural and asymmetrical shapes. Each specimen develops unpredictably, becoming a one‑of‑a‑kind piece.

Exposure: loves full sun or very bright light; indoors, place it near a south‑facing window. It tolerates heat well, but in summer it is best to protect it from the harshest midday rays to avoid sunburn.

p>Soil: needs a well‑draining, porous cactus mix with coarse sand, pumice, or perlite. A good blend is: 60% universal potting soil, 30% inert material, and 10% light organic matter.

Watering: tolerates neglect well. In spring and summer, water only when the soil is dry (about every 7–10 days). In autumn and winter, reduce drastically or stop, keeping the substrate almost dry.

Fertilizing: from April to September, apply a specific cactus fertilizer, low in nitrogen and rich in potassium and phosphorus, once a month.

Flowers and fruits: under optimal conditions, in late spring it produces small greenish‑white flowers, followed by edible berries resembling blueberries (hence the name). Flowering is more abundant with good lighting and a mild winter water stress.

It retains the robustness of the classic Myrtillocactus, easily tolerating missed waterings and requiring very little care, but with a few extra attentions it expresses its full aesthetic potential.
